Castle Rock Demeter
DOB 1/31/19
Sire: Castle Rock Snow Patrol
(Castle Rock Eros x Castle Rock Sugar Snow)
Dam: Castle Rock Persephone
(CRF Castle Rock Jasper Quilles *B x Castle Rock Aphrodite)
One of our suprise kids from 2019, this moon spotted doe is maturing nicely, showing some of the strengths we were hoping to see come through from Snow Patrol- a clean high escutcheon, strong back, and wide rump.

Castle Rock Phoenix
DOB 03/05/19
Sire: Castle Rock Jasper Quilles *B
(CRF Castle Rock Guy Noir ++B x SGCH Algedi Farm H Purple Rain 4*M VEEE 90)
Dam: GCH CRF Castle Rock Siren Song 3*D VEEE 90
(Dragonfly Odysseus x ARMCH Castle Rock Sky Lupine 2*D)
Poor little Phoenix had a really rough time when she was just a little over a month old- she was flat on her side, with little seizures, and I was sure I was going to loose her. I threw everything on hand at her, and like the mythical Phoenix, she came back from (near) death- so the name just seemed appropriate. With her background, I'm expecting her to be a very capacious milker, and to carry forward some of the genetics that have proven to hold up well over time.

Castle Rock Charlotte's Web
DOB 2/06/20
Sire: Castle Rock Thunderhead
(Castle Rock Eros x SGCH Castle Rock Polar Vortex VEVE 91)
Dam: Castle Rock Goodnight Moon
(CRF Castle Rock Jasper Quilles *B x CH CRF Castle Rock Moon River 3*D EEEE 91)
I was quite thrilled to have four does to choose from when Goodnight Moon kidded, and the kids ended up looking similar enough in build that it was really difficult to decide which would stay. In the end, it came down to very slight differences and personality. Charlotte is a very stretchy doe, with a long bone pattern and thin, dairy skin. I appreciate how she looks in profile- a smoothly blended doe, who is already showing us increasing depth of body, and front legs well placed under her shoulder.

Castle Rock Blood Moon
DOB 2/13/20
Sire: Curbstone Valley Tigris *B
(Curbstone Valley Sheldon *B *S x GCH Algedi Farm RB Ocean Flower 1*M *D EEEE 92)
Dam: SGCH Castle Rock Moon Beam EEEE 92
(SG Castle Rock Cleveland Sage +*B x CH CRF Castle Rock Moon River EEEE 91 )
I'm hoping to get a new picture of this doe soon as her red as gotten even deeper since this picture- she's turning out to be that elusive "Kingwood red" ("old timers" will know who I'm talking about- he's back about seven generations in this doe's pedigree) as she matures. The circumstances around her birth weren't great, and she ended up being the only survivor out of a set of quads, and we were concerned we'd lose Moon Beam as well. She's a quietly intense doe, who manages to stand out in the junior pen- possibly because she manages to win the "queen of the mountain" game a majority of the time.

Castle Rock M11
DOB 2/13/20
Sire: Curbstone Valley Tigris *B
(Curbstone Valley Sheldon *B *S x GCH Algedi Farm RB Ocean Flower 1*M *D EEEE 92)
Dam: Castle Rock Persephone
(Castle Rock Jasper Quilles *B x Castle Rock Aphrodite)
I'll get around to naming this doe eventually- mainly she's called "oh, hello sweetie", since during feeding time, she prefers to come touch noses with us instead of diving straight into her food. She's quite long bodied, with good depth and width, shows us lots of dairy strength, and exceptional brisket extension.
